A quick trip to Bangalore, India was in order due to work related activities. I flew out early Saturday, 2/28 and returned Friday, 3/6. On the way to Bangalore I routed through Singapore and was able to spend a couple of hours wandering around downtown shopping and site seeing.
I landed at the new Bangalore Airport north of the city. It was very nice, spacious and an easy drive from the airport to my hotel. (For those of you who landed at the old airport… it’s heaven!) Because I arrived so late, Sunday was a rest day and I spent time reading, doing a little work and relaxing.
Monday morning Ranjit picked me up for a quick jaunt to the HP site. I met the team then had many meetings for the next four days. I really want to thank the HP team for making my stay so memorable. You guys were fantastic hosts!

I love fresh fruit and like Shanghai, it's easy to find!
Ahh the Bangalore traffic. Makes Shanghai traffic look tame. I'm really glad my hotel was close to HP.
Yup, KFC in India, and also China, Malaysia, Singapore; ALL OVER ASIA!
You ask, "what is this?" It is a paper recycling program in India for paper. Paper is washed to remove toner and ink, made into pulp, dried into these little disc's and given to a partner to make books for school children. It is so fantastic to see a country like India with over 1 billion people investing in "green" which will help our kids future!
I really appreciate my collegue, Ritesh (in the middle) and his manager, Rajesh (on the left) taking me to a delicious dinner complete with swords and hats.

Ahh yes, and finally something that makes you go "hummm??"
